Full Bathroom (Upper Level)

Our full bathroom has doubled in size since we bought the place. When we went to gut the room we found a secret "safe room" with working electricity behind an out-of-date tub from the 80's. We took full advantage of every nook by expanding the shower and adding built-in-shelves. All electrical and plumbing work was completed by bonded professionals. Tub, sink and toilet are American Standard. And the light fixtures and appointments are from Pottery Barn. There is truly no house in the neighborhood with a bathroom like this!

View of built-ins. The floors are slate 12 x 12 tiles.

The original medicine cabinet was refurbished with a new frame. We kept the vintage glass in place since it seemed so historic. Custom linen roman shades keep one's privacy.

Shower tile is a combination of subway tile (in the original style of the house) and hand blown glass tiles from the Walker-Zanger Luxury Collection. The partial glass wall helps keep the room open and airy. Best of all, there's a large inset shelf to hold shampoo and more.

Clsoe up of shower tile detail (not reflective of color though).
